Busy ski weekend
Two fine days blessed Ruapehu's skifields on the weekend, with about 1800 visitors at Whakapapa on Sunday and a similar number visiting Turoa. Numbers were slightly down on Sunday. More snow is forecast for this week, and Turoa hopes to have the Jumbo T Bar, recently suffering major damage due to ice, running by mid-week.
