Night classes popular
Waiouru is experiencing record numbers of enrolments in its night classes. Two of the six ! classes offered for Term 2 were full within a week of 1 enrolments opening. Basic marketing and business mathematics are full. Maori language is also proving to be very popular with over 25 en-
rolments already. Helen McCready at the Education Centfe is amazed with the response. "I've been taking enrolments here for four years and we've often had difficulty reaching the minimum number for classes. Sometimes Te Reo Maori has only gone
ahead because of last minute entries on the night." "This term we are telling people to race down here with their money because we just can't hold places when there is so much interest." Helen puts the enthusiasm down to harder economic times.
