Who's paying what in rates this year
Who pays what in rates in the Ruapehu District next year is soon to be decided, once the council's annual plan has been altered and/or confirmed, following the public submission stage. The total rates revenue for 1992-93 required will be $1,976,400 as opposed to $2,048,800 this year. The Uniform Annual Charge on each property, for individual areas. for water, seweraee. etc will be:
The Uniform Annual General Charge (UAGC) remains at $275 for each Ruapehu District property. The general rate for 1992-93 will be 0.54 cents in the dollar of land value. This will collect $1,608,200 ($1,607,700 this year). Turnpage 7

From page 5 The Roading South Rate is to be 0.53 cents, collecting $653,100 (1991-92 = $638,700). The Roading North Rate will be 0.69 cents, collecting $1,484,000 ($1,224,600). The District Promotion Rate is 0.47 cents on commercial and industrial land. Charges for rubbish per property: Ohakune $38 ($50 last year); Raetihi $35 ($60); National Park $50 ($45).; Taumarunui $40 ($55). Charges for sewerage per property: Raetihi $126 ($135); Ohakune $22 (15); Rangataua-operations $85 ($85); Rangataua-debt servicing $257 ($265), Pipiriki $166 ($72); Waiouru $128 ($120); Taumarunui $200 ($200).
