Anti-skid training

King Country Energy's five Ohakune lines staff have all received anti-skid training in a bid to help them avoid accidents during the winter months. The staff members each spent two half-days on Waiouru Airfield having lessons in a specially adapted vehicle that allows skids to be induced on command. Told that the cost per person was $60, director Gordon Gower said it was a necessary investment to ensure King Country Energy's staff could provide service in a mountain environment. General manager Peter Till reported that all staff members participated with enthusiasm and wished to thank the board for the opportunity.
