Contract renewed

The Ruapehu District Council has offered its chief executive officer, Cliff Houston, a new contract of employment, which is effective from June this year. His existing contract was due to expire later this year, said Ruapehu mayor Garrick Workman in a press release yesteiday. "Certain modifications to the existing contract were negotiated and agreement reached between both parties at the 15 May Council meeting," said Mr Workman. "The Council considers Mr Houston the right man for the job and is confident of his ability to continue managing and conducting the business of the Council in accordance with the law, and the policies and regulations determined by the elected members of the Council," said Mr Workman.
