Domains
Meetings are to be held with old local domain boards, to discuss the future management of the domains. All local domains are now under the management of the Ruapehu District Council, which has appointed ex Taumarunui County Clerk Stuart Hunter to review their management. In answer to a question from Waimarino Community Board member Doug Bennett, general manager Cliff Houston said Rangataua Reserve was now gazetted as un-
der the control of the council, while Karioi was yet to be gazetted. Mr Bennett suggested new boards should now be elected. Mr Houston said the council aimed to gather some base information first, then call meetings. He said there was no great hurry.
