The College has had a very busy week with the nursing course, blood donors' Army recruiting officer coming in. A Mufti-day was also held to help Wanganui hospital purchase a C.A.T. Scan machine. On Monday and Tuesday several of our students attended a nursing course in Taumarunui, run by the T aranaki Polytechnic. Their tutors Judy Brown and Janet Keys taught basic nursing skills and the students attended lectures. Our students stayed at the local nursing hostel and the course was enjoyed by all. Also on Monday the college received a visit from an Army Recruiting Officer.
Students attended an Army seminar, through which students could find out about careers in the Army. Wednesday 6 May brought two events to the college. Blood donating and the college mufti day. This is the
Wanganui Health Boards' third visit to the college. Students and people in our area came to the college to donate their blood, It isrepeated every six months because the hospital needs 4000 litres of blood each year.
