Ladies Golf

The first round of the zone 3 and 4 pennents was held at Waiouru on Monday 13 April. Waimarino drew with Wanganui to hold the shield jointly for a month and get 1 point each. Last Wednesday's fine day saw 23 players take the field for the Flag day and Hidden Holes competition. Flag match-71 is par for the course, add your handicap- take the flag to where you run out of strokes. A Sunday player had taken it to just off the 18th green, along came D. Deighton and took it 3 strokes up the 19th to win and also take out the Hidden Holes. Handicap reductions M Kennedy 33-31, L Drinkwater 24-23, P Chambers 20-19. 2s for N Cranston and P Mowat. The raffle was won by G Fraser.
