Ohakune Bridge

No amount of handicapping was going to prevent Ron Frew and Brian Eades from taking first place North-South at Bridge on Wednesday 22 April. Out of the twenty-four boards played by NorthSouth they scored seven outright top boards, scored top place on four and placed second on another six. This gave them a score of 56.23% which was readjusted to 52.38%. Ron Martin and

Heather Cranston shared second place NorthSouth on the night with Mark Hays and Bob Tumataroa but after handicapping were relegated to third place with an adjusted score of 45.71%. Mark and Bob scored 48.71% The East-West pairs played only twenty boards and handicapping saw quite a few position changes. Glenda Whale and Elaine Goldfinch moved from third to first place with 59.15% while Colin and Bev Cox went from first to second place on a score of 57.33% Bill Te Karu and Jenny Mottram moved from fourth to third place with 55.58%.
