Record year for Raetihi power station
Raetihi 's hydro electric power station generated a record amount of electricity in the 199192 year. The station, one of the smallest in the country, generated 1,917,173 kWh. The previous record was 1,673,600 kWh in 1974-75. The figure for March 1992 was 125,083 kWh while last year's March saw 103,860 kWh produced.
