Raetihi School report

Hammond -
principal The positive effects of Raetihi School's overall Assertive Discipline Programme for all our classes is now clearly evident by the behaviour of our children. We are spending more time in catching children doing things right and they are loving it. A number of parents have spoken to me about the change for the better in tiieir child's behaviour. Last week I read a lovely poem written by
Amy Cranston, Form II. I thought I'd share it with you. Ruapehu In the distance I can see An icy form that beckons me Rising from the earth so grand Great white ghost upon the land. Township bustles at it's feet Fresh clean air cool and sweet Winter playground for the masses Skiing, tramping, scaling crevices. Companions of rock
stand close by A jealous lover and stolen bride Feuding often with bellows of steam Relating events from Maori time dream. Forest and tussock surround the base Chasms and ridges scar the face A timeless statue, unfeeling, cold Standing supremely, proud and bold. Amy Cranston To parents of children at Raetihi School, our last Newsletter went home on Thursday 9 April.
