Yacht race crunch!

Three hundred and twenty apples were crunched at the Raetihi School on Tuesday, in aid of the America's Cup Challenge. At 12.15pm with John Compton counting down, pupils joined the half - million New

Zealand school pupils around the country for the apple crunch. The apples were donated by ENZA and for every one eaten they donated five cents to the challenge. Pupils from all schools entered a competition and three schools will be drawn

and one pupil from each will win a trip to San Diego to watch the start of the America's Cup. Four schools in this draw will also win an Apple Maclntosh Computer each. Pupils from Room Four created the posters to advertise the crunch around the school.
