Ohakune water scheme takes shape

Ohakune'# water treatment system is starting to take shape at its site on Soidier's Road. The roof of the water tank, at left, is now ready to be lifted into place, as soon as weather allows the cranes to move onto the site. Chief engineer Peter Jackson said the commissioning date for the project has now been brought forward to the beginning of June, because treatment equipment coming from Italy was able to be put on an earlier ship.
