QA Sgn shoots for Air Training cadets

Seven Secondary school students from the Bay of Plenty Air Training Corps representative shooting team visited Waiouru recently competing in a shoot against a team provided by Queen Alexandra (GA) Squadron. Seven Air Cadets from the different squadrons

around the Bay of Plenty area used the weekend for preparation for their Australian tour at the end of the year to compete against Australian Air Cadets. The QA Squadron shooting team was made up of volunteers. The rifles used were .22, from 25 metres. The first

shoot had three serials, a grouping shoot, a snap shoot and an application shoot. The cadets' score of 485 out of 1,000 convincingly beat QA Squadron's score of 265 on the first shoot.
