$ for rodeo with steel bull

RIC
A mechanical bucking bull has been raising funds for the Rodeo association for the past 12 months. The rodeo association will be holding the national rodeo title at Raetihi in the year 2000 and they will need to raise $30,000 to $40,000 by that year. The bucking bull has been busy during the past year performing at Fielding, Wanganui and Taihape. On Friday 20 March it was set up at the Raetihi Cosmopolitan Club and riders had a fun evening. It has three speeds to cater for different capabilities. The low speed is for female riders, and even children as young as three years of age have coped with riding it. Second speed is used for male riders and the more experienced females. Top speed is for the more experienced male riders. As well as earning money, it is used by rodeo riders for practise. The winner at the end of the night at the Cosmopolitan club was Chris Zimmerman.
