Aborigine artists visits Marae
Joan Akapita (at left) and Bessie Thompson at the Maungarongo Marae check out the work of their visitors, women from the St Theresa mission near Alice Springs in central Australia. The women, Mary Oliver, Elaine Hays and June Smith, were part of a party of women artists visiting New Zealand as part of a cultural exchange.
