Dogs attack chooks

By

RIC

A Balance Street, Raetihi family woke to find a stray dog had killed two of their chickens last Wednesday, after having lost nine in January, killed by the same dog. The animal won't be doing it again however, as a neighbour, who had heard the commotion the dog had created, was able to shoot it as it was caught in the act. A George St family has also suffered from uncontrolled dogs, having had eight chickens and a pet lamb mauled, leaving a very upset child. The dog involved in this incident is still at large.
