"Peanut" butters up Turoa staff
"Peanut" the Park dog is looking for a home - and it's getting urgent! He must be a smart dog (well worth having) because this was delivered to the Bulletin last week: "I am a male dog, about 12 months old (nobody remembers my birthday, sob), with a mixture of ancestry. I got lost, or was abandoned and spent a few days up the Ohakune Mountain Road." "I was very hungry and scared but didn't eat any native birds (promise!) nor did I bite the nice lady called Nancy when she and some other kind Turoa people rescued me. I am now at the pound in Raetihi and my time is running out" "I am of medium build with coarse hair. I'm not a hunter, or vicious, just frightened and in need of some loving care and attention. I'm peanut butter coloured with white chest and legs." "The Turoa ladies have given me a name but can't give me a home, so if you've got room please phone Jackie, 0-6-3858 456 work time or 0-6-3858 871"
