Raetihi's 100th to be marked
Raetihi should celebrate its centennary between October 1992 and September 1993, those at a meeting held last week decided. The meeting was called by the Waimarino Community Roard to discuss whether there should be celebrations and if so, how. Ten people attended the meeting.
It was suggested that an organising committee be formed from representatives from past and present organisations from the Raetihi district. A list of organisations will be drawn up by Raetihi resident Harry Brown assisted by WCB chairman Colin Webb, and invitations sent out to those organisations.
