The Waiouru Plunket Society held their major fund raising event of the year on Sunday 8 March at Waiouru's Community Centre. Over two dozen organisations from Waiouru took part in the flea market with another two coming from Taihape and Kawerau.
The unexpected fine weather brought a lot of the local people out, but saies in what was considered popular items were slow. The stall holders were however reasonably pleased with how much had been sold. Proceeds raised by the Plunket will go towards costs incurred by the Plunket Nurses, such as petrol.
