Ski jobs course

The New Zealand Employment Service is again running a course for unemployed people interested in working for Turoa Ski Resort Ltd or other Tourism' related businesses. Employment adviser Jan Lawton said more than 60 percent of those who attended the course last year found work and this year it is hoped that the results will be even better. The five day course, called "Jobclub", is based on a concept de-

veloped in England and covers all aspects of job seeking. This includes completing application forms, writing letters, telephone skills, curriculum vitae preparation and interview technique. Guest speakers will talk about the types of work available, and detail their experiences as local people working in the tourist industry. The jobclub will be held at the Lions Club Hall in Arawa Street Ohakune, Monday to Friday (2327 March) between 10am and 3pm. Anyone wanting to attend should phone Jan at Wanganui

06-345-2119. "It's free and it will be lots of fun," she said.
