Mountain classic for golfers

The Waiouru Golf Club held their Mountain Classic Golf tournament last weekend. This annual event was first held 1 1 years ago. Twenty two clubs were represented from all over the North Island. There were 111 entries, 92 men, and 19 women. The competition had one grade for women, Turnpage 8
Golf From page 6 and three for men, including an open grade. On Saturday golfers played two rounds of 18 holes in the normal glorious weather conditions of Waiouru and on Sunday 60 golfers played socially in a mixed tournament.
