An airforce strikemaster, which was helping out with 'Modetrain', is checked out by Taupo fire fighters after it made a forced landing at Taupo airport. Photographer Bruce Wilde of Ohakune spotted the aircraft in difficulty over Turangi on Saturday and detoured to the airfield to see what had happened. The pilot told him it had developed engine trouble.
