Busy Raetihi holidays
the Raetihi Information Centre visitors' book has many interesting and numerous entries following a busy holiday period. People from Switzerland, France Germany, Canada, U.S.A., Ireland, Ncw Guinea, Australia, Holland and of course many people from all paris of New Zealand. The touring public are stopping instead of
passing straight through, say centre volunteers. Canoeing, tramping, viewing the glow worms and the motor camp, Pipiriki, farm visits are all subjects keenly enquired about for directions. A much appreciated ammenity is the tea and coffee machine, especially for the cyclists who often appear exhausted when they arrive
at the Centre. The next display will be the showing children's smocked garments and knitted items, all handiwork of Mrs Margaret Cole, a local farming resident. This exhibition will open on 15 January for three to four weeks. Any interested people who would like to join
the Raetihi Centre volunteers group and give three hours a week to helping at the Information Centre, are asked to phone 385 4805. The centre is desperate for more volunteers.
