West Australian Simon Mayers stretches out in the summer sun at the top of the Express Quad Chairlift at Ruapehu's Whakapapa skifield. Simon is among the thousand visiting Ruapehu this summer to take a hike in the Tongariro National Park, take a chairlift ride, climb to the Crater Lake and summit, or even ski the T Bars which were not only skiable but absolutely magnificent! Off the mountain there are loads of activities to keep a holiday full.
