Sixteen golfers turned out for twilight golf on Tuesday 3 December. Colin Nightingale scored the only two of the evening at the 15th. The Bird also took out the haggle with a Nett 31. Rose Hill, Derek Gunn and Fish Hapuku all scored Nett 33 while Ian Ponse finished with 34. The final round of the Patrons Par was played Saturday 7 December. 20 golfers produced some
top flight golf in excellent weather. The greens are starting to play well, at least for some of us. Seven players scored twos: Paul Creedy (5) Garry Haughey (12), Mike Cavanagh (12), Peter Willan (12), Terry Mitchell (5), Colin White (11) and Garth Wasley (11). The results of the haggle also show just how well the course is playing at the moment. Henry 'Goat' Wi.ohman came in with +6 followed by Peter Willan and K V Kavana on +5. Garry Haughey showed he hasn't lost form with the improving weather by returning a +4. Bar-
bara Shaw kept the men honest with a well earned +3 while Terry Mitchell managed to make the prize list with +2. After the previous rounds were taken into account the Patrons Par competition resulted in the trophy being shared by Peter Willan and Colin White with a total of +8 after dropping the worst score of the three rounds. The monthly medal for December was also decided with Garry Haughey taking it out with a nett 65. Next Saturday 14 December is the club's Christmas Cheer. Tee off at Ilam.
