Waimarino Pony club games day
On 30 November a Waimarino Games Day was held at Raetihi for pony club members. Several games were played including apple bobbing and obstacle races. All riders enjoyed the day with the following riders winning at least one ribbon: K Godfrey, K Mcllroy, A Garland, V Duigan, S Williams, K Edgarten, M McGregor, D McGregor, V Morris, S Hyland, C Hyland, D Hyland, A Sheree, C Cooper, Clive, M Seifert, R Hill,
Katrina, C Morris, Hone, Amy. Recently the Waimarino Pony Club 'Waterways' Gamblers Cross Country event was held at Rokes Property after having to postpone it due to previous very wet conditions. Riders have four heights to choose from at each jump and are given points according to the height jumped. Results were as follows: Class 1-10 years and under; 1st N Smith and Pepper 180, 2nd M McGregor and Sws
171, 3rd C Scarrow and Tommy 137, 4th V Morris and Angie 133. Class II - 1 1 to 13 years; 1 st J Hurley and Jillaroo 385, 2nd K Berry and Nikita 384, 3rd L Timpary and Kelly 365, 4th K Godfrey and Wobgobbin 315. Class 2A - Novice Adult; 1 st J Vickers and Graffitti 349, 2nd D Hill and Rebel 238, 3rd C Morrisen and SumTinsllp 233. Class 3; 1st K Mcllroy and Spider Webb 475, 2nd C Davey and El Golden King 469, 3rd C Davey and Chrystal Fligbt 440, 4th L Arnold and Mauceau Heights 406. Class 4; 1st R McCoubrie and Celemate 471 , 2nd F Evans and Southern Comfort 469, 3rd G Revell and Knockout 465, 4th D Hill and Silver 439.
