Waiouru's health watch meeting held on 3 December did not have the outcome that many had hoped for Less than 20 residents turned out for the meeting held at the Waiouru Primary School hall, and many who did said they were baffled by Health | Department jargon. ■ The main issue of the
meeting was not discussed until the final few minutes of the meeting, which angered those who had come prepared for the debate on health issues that concern Waiouru. The meeting did have a positive note when the Army representatives present promised to instigate a survey among defence personnel in
Waiouru about what they would like to see being done with impending changes in health care. Submissions on health care issues close in Wellington on 7 January 1992. Any organisation can make a submission concerning the 'Core Debate' and other health related issues mentioned in the 'Core Debate'.
