CAROL MITCHELL - I WAS BORN in Taupo and got my secondary education at Taupo-nui-a-tia College, Taupo. I am married with two sons, Jade (12) and Daniel (11). My husband Chris is a soldier. With my husband's line of work we have moved around the army camps in NZ and overseas. In between these moves I was lucky enough to get work at Taupo Post Office, Chief Post Office, Christchurch, Papakura Post Office, Panmure Post Office, Ngaruawahia Post Office, Hamilton Chief Post Office, Raglan District Council/ Ngaruawahia Borough Council. When we moved to Waiouru, I started work with the Waimarino District Council in 1985 as Senior Administration Clerk. With the amalgamation I left for a three month period to work at Winstone Pulp International as a Creditor's Clerk and rejoined the Ruapehu District Council in 1989 as Service Centre

Assistant (Ohakune). My interests are in assisting with the Waiouru Youth Club, housie, reading and weight watchers. SUE KING I WAS born in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, East Africa where my father was in the Colonial Poiice Service. I arrived in New Zealand when I was 14 and did my secondary education at Waikato Diocesan, Hamilton and Pakuranga College, Auckland. I went general nursing and joined the NZ Navy as a WRNZN Driver and the got married, had children and later on was divorced. I moved to Wellington where I worked for Shipping and Meat Exporting Companies. In 1985, tired of the city rat race, my family and I moved to the Waimarino. I started work with the Waimarino District Council in June 1988 as Senior Computer Operator/Senior Finance Clerk and subsequently in 1989 with the Ruapehu

District Council as Service Centre Administration Officer. My interests are in the geography and history of the Waimarino, reading, crafts and horses. I have two children -Vicky (20) and Justin (18).
