Karioi power project under study
Karioi's hydro power scheme is still under study, with independent engineers checking the proposal for one of the potential major investors. King Country Energy general manager Peter Till said Works Consultancy is surveying the tunnel route and various sites for the project. "There is no definite decision yet but at least they're interested enough to spend the money on surveying," said Mr Till.
