Waiouru golf

by

J* Twenty-four players enjoyed good golfing conditions on Tuesday 15 October. The back nine was played and although no-one managed to score a two some good scores were returned: Graham Roberts nett 32, Tony Topine 32, Garth Wasley 33, Paul Creedy 34, Peter Willan 34 and Garry Haughey 35. Despite a few aches and pains following the Round the Mountain Relay the day before, a good field of 25 tumed out for the second round

of the aggregate stableford competition. Trevor Hennesey 11, Mark O'Dwyer 15 and Garry Haughey 12 all scored twos. Stableford scores for the day were: Sam Iraia 43 pts, Mark O'Dwyer 40, Geoff Robinson 39, Paul Creedy 38, Garry Haughey 37, Rob Tidey 36 and Bryan Jacobsen 36. Next weekend, being Labour Weekend, there will be no competition play. However there will be a haggle for those who turn up.
