The past week has been a busy one with Senior Exams starting along with the crosscountry both here and the Wanganui Regional Crosscountry held in Taihape. On Monday 7 October the Ruapehu College Crosscountry was held with some very close races. The closest race was the Intermediate Girls. The results were as follows: Junior Girls: Dorothy Kyle, 20.53; Megan Pope; Michelle Kui. Intermediate Girls: Cindy Evans, 20.56;
Sherry Hansen; Nicola Cast. Senior Girls: Natalee Taylor, 24.21; Tui Allen; Karlene Beech. Junior Boys: Scott Goldfinch, 17.53; Mathew Preece; Aeneas O'Sullivan. Intermediate Boys: Raymond McDougall, 18.12; Michael Hope; Ben Preece. Senior Boys: Peter Fetzer, 30.09; Steven Dowman; DeonTeMiha. With these results a team was selected for Wednesday crosscountry in Taihape. The team performed exceptionally well. Another big event that is to take place next year is the 1992 Australian Tour. 1991 has seen Ru-
apehu College host many sports teams from Australia but now it is our turn. During the mid-term break 1992 a touring party consisting of 20 rugby players, 10 netball players and at least three teachers will be touring Australia. The entire party will consist of 40, the rest of the party being made up of parents. They will visit such places as Brisbane and Rockhampton and play sports for most of their seven day tour. Fundraising is well underway but any donations or jobs that need to be done, please ring the College at 0658 58398.
