Singers rehearse
Rehearsals are in full swing for the Taihape Arcadian Singers' up-coming production "Songs from the Shows". They are to play Ohakune on 9 October. The show is designed a little lighter than the group's normal church or classical choral works. "A lighter show is more difficult for the singers who are used to straight choral singing and don't find it easy to move and act," said musical director Helen Gordon. Their producer is Joan Clayton, with new soloists Jim Whittle, June Gilbert, Maro and Ra Potaka, Myra Fleury and Jackie Eustace. Guest soloists are Pam Collier and Jan Rodgers.
