SAUNDERS

Teams from all over Waiouru are testing their brain cells in the latest quiz challenge being held at the Oasis Hotel. Owners of the hotel, Willie and Warwick Mclntyre, are hosting 'Pub Trivia", a series of 60 trivia type questions on three major subjects music and entertainment, sport and general knowledge. The questions have been put together by the Auckland Breweries. Heats are being run over the next four consecutive Tuesday nights, with the finals being held on 22 October. Teams may enter the competition at any heat stage and may compete in all heats if they choose. The top three teams of each heat receive prizes and will go forward to the finals. "The first night went very well and all teams seemed to enjoy themselves. Some teams arrived a little anxious but ended up excited and keen to compete again", said the hosts. Willie and Warwick are happy to welcome new teams into the comjjetition up j until 15 October.
