Special council meeting today
A special meeting of the Ruapehu District Council is to be held in Taumarunui today. Items on the agenda include: the confirmation of the Raetihi District Planning Scheme Change (which allows for the establishment of a meat processing plant); the review of the community board structure; elected members' remuneration; discussion on the Resource Management Act 1991 and the schedule of fees and charges associated with it; seal extensions; and the future of regional councils.
