Cold Kiwis on Desert Road

Over 3,000 motorcyclists took part in the annual Cold Kiwi held at the summit of the Desert Road on the weekend. Burnouts, when changing competitions and hillclimbs eould not persuade many to stay overnight as the weather, began to deteriorate dramatically. Nevertheless a mountain of beer was consumed by those who braved the windy day and a bonfire kept them warm at night.
