The affect of the change is to amend the industrial zone provisions by adding a new Industrial B zone and to rezone a piece of land on the corner of George Street and Parapara Road from Industrial to Industrial B. The decision to proceed with the change was appealed by AFFCO New Zeaiand Ltd on the grounds that notification procedures had not been correctly carried out. As a result of the implementation of a Consent Order signed by a Judge of the Planning Tribunal on 1 August 1991, an ojection has now been received from AFFCO New Zealand Ltd. Below is a summary of the objection received to the proposed change: OBJECTOR REQUESTED ALTERATION AFFCO New Cancellation of Proposed Zealand Ltd change No. 90/1 or to amend the Proposed Change to make it consistent with existing District Scheme restrictions. The above objection to the proposed Scheme Change may be inspected during normal office hours of the Ruapehu District Council at Miro Street, Ohakune: Seddon Street, Raetihi; or Manuaute Street, Taumarunui. Notice of support of or opposition to the objection shall be in writing on Form D prescribed in the schedule of the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1978 or to the like effect and shall be lodged at the offices of the Council not later than 4.00pm on 20 September 1991.
