90th Raetihi rugby jubilee coming up

Plans for Raetihi Rugby Club's 90th Jubilee are coming together with games now being finalised. The Jubilee celebrations are to be held 6, 7 & 8 September, starting with a get-together and registration on the Friday night, a day of rugby on Saturday including schoolboy rugby in the morning with Raetihi and Ohakune teams hopefully joined by teams from all around the district. The Ruapehu College First Fifteen is to play a Northern Wanganui team yet to be decided, followed by the main game with Raetihi seniors playing Taumarunui Athletic Seniors. On Sunday the old timers will play an Ohakune team for the Log of Maire trophy. The Women's rugby team will also play a game on Sunday. A cabaret and prize giving is to be held Saturday night with Colin Meads attending as guest speaker.
