Chips in Gumboots?
Las Vegas hits Gumboot City this month. The Taihape Town Hall hosts a fund raising evening for the Ruanui Trust and the Substance Abuse Trust on Saturday 24 August. Gumboot City Casino opens to a night of craps, blackjack, Taihape roulette, baccarat, seven furlong stud, Aussie two-up, Las Vegas big wheel, crown & anchor, unders & overs.
Punters will pay $25 for a night of frivolous fun, with free finger food, full bar facilities, and '$100,000 worth' of casino chips. At the end of the night's gambling an auction is planned, where punters can spend their hard won chips on 35 prizes all worth more than $100.
