Pony year review
Melanie Mitchell had a very good season gaining her C+ and being nominated for the Singapore Rosette. The club also had three sitting their C Certificates:- R Gotlieb, R Duigan, V Duigan. All passed, as did A Fetzer, S Bath and K Richards, who sat D Certificate. Other awards went to the following members :- Attendance, V Duigan; Certificate of Merit, S Gotlieb; Most improved rider - Junior, A Fetzer; Certificate of Merit, K Richards; Senior, M Mitchell; Certificate of
Merit, D Workman; Most promising rider, N Richards; Horsemanship Junior, S Bath and S Gotlieb; Senior, N Tebay; Grooming and Gear:- 13 and under, V Duigan, 14 and over, M Mitchell. There will be a horsemanship quiz in the first week of the August school holidays, which all members can take part in. Mrs Cooper and Mrs Williams went to pony club conference, where the Eqvalan Instruction Training Programme was
introduced. It is the first of it's kind, aimed at training instructors to keep up with the progress of the students. The requirements for the course are: minimum age 17 years; regular pony club instructor; financial member; attended a DC Instructor course within the 5 years. The cost is $45 level 1, and $22.50 for the assessment day. There are 6 levels with no time limit. There will be a meeting in the near future to discuss the course.
