Capital value rating dropped

Capital value rating as an option has been dropped by the Ruapehu District Council following submissions from a number of people to the council's Annual Plan. At the council's Friday 19 July meeting groups including AFFCO submitted to council that proposing to launch a study into capital value rating created uncertainty to big business. General manager Cliff Houston asked councillors if they wanted their officers to spend valuable time studying the option if they had no real intention of implementing it.
