Disheartening homecoming
BY GAIL IMHOFF Peter Robb has very little to come home to at present. His home was broken into between Thursday 13 June and Sunday afternoon 16 June and burglars made off with a freezer, washing machine, rifle and clothing. Mr Robb's two motorbikes were left behind as it would appear that the burglars didn't have enough room to take them. These were shifted by family and put into safe storage. On Sunday night the house was broken into again and the rest of the house was cleaned out. All that was left behind this time was a bed, with
no bedding, a table and chairs, small second hand fridge and the odd item of clothing. Even the dressing table and drawers were taken as well as the lounge suite and a considerable amount of camping gear. A locked tin containing a tube of cyanide and Mr Robb's cyanide licence was also taken. Mr Robb is still on crutches as a result of an accident at the Pulp mill on 28 February. He has been in Wanganui receiving medical treatment since the accident only coming home for short visits. To make matters worse Mr Robb had no insurance.
