Chateau lease registered
The Chateau property does not have access to and existing legal road, so the Ruapehu District Council was asked last week to register the lease of the property to the Tourist Hotel Corporation from the Department of Conservation. While the State Highway 48 is not a legal road, it is deemed to be a public highway for law enforcement purposes, the council's general manager assured councillors.
