Exposition for the disabled

Disability Expo 91 opens on 3 July 1991 with Dame Catherine Tizard, Governor-Gen-erai, carrying out the opening ceremony at Pascal Street Stadium, Palmerston North. More than 80 exhibitors at Disability Expo 91 will be in contention for an award offered by Della Newman, United States Ambassador to New Zealand. The award is for the stand best illustrating the theme "Independence" . Also giving a speech at the opening is Roger McLay, Associate Minister of Social Welfare. Disability Expo 91 opens to the public on 4, 5 and 6 July.
