Raetihi brigade attends Parapara crashes

Raetihi fire fighters attended two accidents on the Parapara Highway last Wednesday. The first was at 10am when a Holden Ute overturned and one person was injured. The Raetihi ambulance carried the injured person to Wanganui base hospital. Just as they retumed to Raetihi the brigade was called to a second Parapara accident, where a Ford Zepher car left the road and went over a bank and caught fire. An 18 month old child rcceived facial burns and was taken to Wanganui Base Hospital. The car was completely destroyed in the fire.
