John Armstrong, M.P. for New Plymouth was the guest speaker at the annual meeting of

King Country electorate, held recently at Kaimata. At a well attended meeting Rt. Hon. Jim Bolger and Mrs. Bolger received a warm welcome. Mr Bolger spoke about present day problems and the need to severely restrict government spending. However, there seems to be a spark of optimism as evidence points to an upturn in the economy, he said. The efforts resulted in his division having a National win in every electorate except one. Electorate officers elected for the 1991 year were: Chairman . Arthur Collier, Taihape; Secre-

tary Maureen Wilkie, Te Kuiti; Treasurer Murray Ealem, Te Kuiti; Deputy Chairmen Craig Tylee, Taumarunui, Peter Linley, Tariki, Joyce Wilson, Tariki, Alistair McGregor, Raetihi, John Parker, Te Kuiti; Publicity Officer Bob Blair, Eltham. Delegates to Divisional Conference in Hamilton: -A. Collier, P. Linley, A. McGregor, R. Blair, J Parker, P. Eady, D. Paterson. Delegates to Dominion Conference in Christchurch:-A. Collier, R.
