Ruapehu Netball
Saturday's netball competition saw some very close games in the A grade. Raetihi still proved to be strong enough to be the only unbeaten team so far in the A grade. In the B grade Navy and Karioi are equal. Once again Betty Carrick the Bendon Regional Co-ordinator is visiting us for a coaching session. Betty will be at the College gym on 7 May (Tuesday) between 7pm and 9pm all
senior netball players are urged to attend. The following day she will be at the Ohakune Primary school from 9.00am-10.30am then back at the college from 1 lam-12.30pm.. Abusive players The Division Executive has received complaints regarding players abusing opposing teams. This seems to be an on going problem according to the executive. "These few offending players are both ruining the sport of the game as well as setting bad examples for the younger players and giving their own teams bad reputations. We are supposed to be encouraging them," said an executive spokesperson.
