Game council meets

The transitional period of the Taranaki Fish and Game Council ceases on 5 May 1991. An election of officers for the incoming council was not necessary because less than twelve nominations were received. From 5 May the incoming council will take on a term of three years. The representatives from the Ruapehu area are Diane Pritt

(Ohakune) Jim Gosman (National Park) and Harry Brown (Raetihi). A meeting of sportsmen will be held at the Cosmopolitan Club at National Park on Sunday 12 May at 3pm. Sportsmen are urged to attend the meeting so that your representatives on the Taranaki Fish and Game Council can inform them of changes that have taken place as a result of the restructuring of Sport Fish and Game

management and administration. Also at that meeting a committee will be elected to replace the former Waimarino Ward committee of the Central North Island Wildlife Conservancy Council. The new committee will be the link between the area representatives and the' Taranaki Fish and Game Council and then to the New Zealand Fish and Game Council.
