Swimming club prizes
The annual prize giving of the Raetihi swimming club was held at the Raetihi Presbyterian Hall on Monday 8 April. Trophies were presented by Bob Grave, Bernice Cochrane lifemember of the club and Garrick Workman mayor of Ruapehu District Council.
Results: C grade (9 and under) girls 1 Linda Grave, 2 Kathryn Summerhays, 3 Casey Scarrow. Boys 1 Clay Winter, 2 Kevin Summerhays. B grade (under 13) girls 1 Gisela Bauer, 2 Karla Thompson, 3 Cherylee Bishop. Boys 1 George Taura, 2 Steven Hawira,3 Damion Scully. A grade (under 16) girls 1 Samantha Condon, 2 Tracy Taura, 3 Amanda Te Huia. Boys 1 Chris Winter. Senior Ladies 1 Lyn Pope. Senior Men 1 John Binzegger, 2 Craig McDonagh.
