Waiouru Plunket holds flea market for funds

Waiouru Plunket's recent Flea Market was a success, with 25 stallis being set up covering a wide range of items. Ceramics. food stalls,

cottage crafts including pot pourri, toys and wooden puzzles were among the stalls set up in the Waiouru Community Centre as part of the fund-raising activity. The Plunket Society also set up their own cake stall with bags of lollies for sale, and also set up a car seat display. They sold out of balloons they had planned to distribute through the car seat campaign week. One of the highlights was a busker, Mr Safn Hing from Ohakune who played a number of musical instruments. The funds raised from the event, which was the fourth the society has run, will go towards general operating costs for the Plunket nurse.
